Jenny, it is never too late to start. This is the kind of New Year's resolution you can make and easily keep! ;-)
And definitely start with the original film, because Top Gun Maverick is the rare sequel that is better than the original.
Those 1980s flight scenes aren't anywhere as impressive as the ones they filmed three decades later!
