Also an Abby Gardner/We Have Notes fan!

And this is a fascinating story, Beth! It reminds me of being in London in the 1990s when a giant, enigmatic poster appeared in Tube stations, with the letters E-L-F-I in various configurations and a photo of a lone figure, facing down, with one arm raised, as if in prayer. Eventually the images appeared with the word unscrambled: LIFE. And finally, the message: "LIFE: Come hear someone make sense of it" - and it was an invite to see Billy Graham, who eventually packed out a big stadium in London. It was the most interesting marketing campaign I'd even experienced. (I joined a friend's workplace for after-work cocktails and then we took a private shuttle to the event, probably another marketing device.) I'd be interested in the story behind that campaign, and to see if my memory is correct.

There we have it - a connection between the evangelist Billy Graham and Harry Styles!

Thank you! What an interesting story - and you know it’s made me curious!

I found the posters are at the V&A. It was 1989 - will see what else I can find…

Just checked out the link - those posters were more interesting than I remembered. Creative use of the period (or "full stop"). I'll be there's an interesting story behind that campaign!
