I always love Curious Minds, Beth, but today’s was particularly hooky. Don’t ask me why. Loved the story and the Crackerjack detail at the bottom. Please can you tell me what Crackerjack tastes like, is it popcorn or pretzel, peanut brittle or honeycomb? My only reference is Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the ring prize.

If you have 2 minutes, it's definitely worth listening to one of the clips I included - as I bet most Americans don't even know there are verses (and Katie and Nelly have sadly been lost from the song). Cracker Jack is a caramel corn - popcorn that is very sweet, and there are also peanuts in the bag (that have been covered in sugar/molasses). My grandmother used to make homemade 'cracker jack' that was delicious. The store bought variety is not as good, but if you're at a baseball game, you've got to have it (along with a hot dog). :)
