I thought back to this post the other week when I ordered imported crème eggs in Taiwan. And horror of horror found they were the American ones and didn’t match the taste I remembered
I hear you, Mary! On all three of these points - though I discovered Robbie when I was a student in the UK in 1998, so when Rock DJ came out in the US with that bizarre video a few years later, I already knew who he was. Plus I had to buy the whole Take That CD just to get "Back for Good" back in the day....lol

Oh no, Doug…I am so sorry.
I have just returned from a trip to the US - with US Creme Eggs as my kids wanted to do the taste test again.
I’m trying to prepare my teeth for the saccharine taste that’s about to hit them! 😂
I had no idea they’d been around so long. I no longer can deal with the amount of sugar. Fill one with nut butter and I’m sold
You're right, Blair. They are *very* sweet!
A mouthwatering story--really want to try the UK version!
If you like the US ones, you'll probably really like the UK ones...
I loved this! I also stopped in my tracks, age 14, in the London Underground. "Cadbury is more than eggs?!?!"
See also, "Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams aren't one-hit wonders?"

I knew about back for good +singing it to myself now), but didn't know them beyond Take That, so it was YEARS later that I joined those dots...
